The A380's visit was just a test flight of Airbus to show if it can be flown in exisitng airports in Asia like NAIA. No, the Philippines did not order one. The first A380 to be used as a commercial plane had just been delivered to Singapore Airlines last 15Oct. SIA is the first to fly the A380.

BTW you have an interesting blog site here.

LoL... wish ko lang na i-upgrade na ang PAL ng mga planes nila.. Geez.. Last time i checked yung fleet nila are still comprised of few Boeing 747's and a few Airbus.. Well it would be awesome kung makabili tayo ng A380..(just one would do).. or pwede din to be realistic a couple of 767 or 777. Good thing about PAL is nagagamit nila yung new terminals whereas everytime na umuuwi ako is yung lumang terminal pa din ang gamit ... :( (I fly SingAir/Qantas since bukod sa bagong mga planes mas mura ang rates nila)

pal has closed a deal with boeing for several b777-300 er's i think. based on the paliner, their quarterly corporate magazine.
